Education City is something that Propel McKeesport does. You can apply for a job. (Job listings are below). You will get interviewed by HR and you will do that job. ( You can get as many jobs as you desire). If you do not do your first job (To be a student), you will get fired from your second job. You can get fired from HR or any adult in the building.
My jobs are:
~ HUMAN RESOURCES (Responsible for interviewing potential applicants and hiring. MUST be able to counsel students that get fired and support them while they get another job. YOU MUST GET ALL STUDENTS IN THE CITY!)
~ MATH TUTORS (Must maintain an A/B in math, complete all math assignments on time (or ahead of time), support peers with math tasks, and help the teacher grade assignments)
~ BANKERS (Must be good at math, organized, manage the accounts for all the students, responsible for adding money (and taking away) from student accounts) YOU MUST BE ORGANIZED AND CONSCIENTIOUS!!!!
~ HBI (Habit Bureau of Investigations) Must follow ALL the HABITS!! Responsible for collecting all discipline sheets, and logging student infractions.
~ STORE MANAGERS (Responsible for organizing the Education City stores, managing inventory and pricing items, and logging all sales from student accounts)
~ READING TUTORS (Must maintain an A/B in reading, complete all reading assignments on time, support peers with reading and writing tasks, and help the teacher grade assignments)
~ SCIENCE TUTORS (Must maintain an A/B in science, complete all science assignments on time (or ahead of time), support peers with science tasks and experiments, and help the teacher grade assignments)
~ JOURNALISTS (Responsible for writing the McKeesport Memo articles for math, literacy, and science...or any exciting topic in the 5/6 hallway. Must be a good writer, organized, and computer savvy. Journalists are responsible for maintaining the "Hoerrald" blog, which means you will have to learn how to create a web pages/blog posts.)
~ LIBRARIANS (Maintains the classroom library, check-in & check-out books, repairs or reports books that are damaged, organize books, and log NEW books in the library)
~ TEACHER'S ASSISTANTS (assists teacher with classroom management: passes out papers or books, sharpens pencils, corrects papers, runs errands, check homework, answers the phone and relays messages, checks the daily log to notify students of transportation changes, etc.)
~ LANDLORDS (Keeps the hallway and classrooms clean, turns off lights, rearranges furniture, vacuum, etc.)
~ GEEK SQUAD (Responsible for ALL electronic equipment: distributing and putting away computers, overheads & Smartboards, tablets, and desktops) YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL TECHNOLOGY BEING RETURNED TO THE PROPER ROOM AND CART!
~ HABIT GUARD (Responsible for carrying the Habit Board to every class, getting Habit points signed and reporting scores on the Google Drive & ECU WALL at the end of the day)
~ LUNCH MONITORS (Distributes and collects all lunch cards each day before and after lunch AND collecting/distributing fruit from Ms. Ebony)
~ COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALISTS (Maintains the classroom calendar, date on the white boards, organizes & distributes Thursday Folder communications)
~ CITY DECORATORS (creates posters, decorates bulletin boards, and assists with the Education City UPDATES board: MUST BE CREATIVE, ARTISTIC, AND NEAT)
~ INSPECTOR GENERAL (Responsible for checking for dress code violations and reporting them for all students in the 5/6 hallway; pass out red flags to those with clothing violations)
